Dancing Dead Leaves by Yunfan Tan
Have you ever danced with the devil by the pale moonlight? Batman has, but surely the fallen leaves that have given their lives annually for a few thousand millennia know that feel as well, though Yunfan believes that need not be a saddening sacrifice: looping the withering process and turning it into an endless dance, the leaves’ way of saying this isn’t goodbye… just we’ll do this again next year.

Man What A Woman - Paleo.
waking the neighbors
we quiet it down
a broom brooms the ceiling
she don’t make no sound my woman
god has the first word
man laughs the last
we bury the hatchet
into his back
what grows in the dark
must be brought to light
one year to the day
sound asleep in the pines my woman
man what a woman
i’m not for sale
i’ll never sign
clocks stoop around
the body of time
the sound is terrible
it won’t leave my mind
their dinner my memory
they leave nothing behind my woman
one for the happy
two for the old
three to get married
and four just to know my woman
man what a woman
